Calm After the Storm!Hurray!  The George Peabody Library survived Hurricane Irene. What better way for a library chock-full of old books to celebrate than to focus on a lovely image from awesome 18th century “lady scholar” Marie Sybille de Merian’s Histoire Générale des Insectes de Surinam.  Of course, being the Wunderkammer, this image of beautiful flowers and cute bee hives is now making us feel like we have fuzzy insects crawling all over us!
